About Ankie & Dana
We met while rowing and studying at UC Davis in California. We relocated together for graduate school and, after earning Masters degrees at the University of Northern Colorado, continued what would prove to be a lifelong commitment to serving others.
Ankie worked her way through both degrees by working in senior home health care and parks and recreation. After graduation, she ultimately ended up directing innovative and successful Senior Recreation Programs for the award-winning City of Fort Collins, CO Parks and Recreation program. For over 20 years, Dana contributed to REI Co-Op members’ enjoyment of the outdoors, ultimately overseeing aspects of product quality, testing and engineering.
Our family has called the Pacific Northwest home for over 25 years. With our commitment to community, we found a natural fit with the John L Scott family in 2015 and have joined them in ‘living life as a contribution’ ever since.

Having relocated many times growing up and again with my own family, I understand the challenges and opportunities that come with moving, and I bring that understanding to the way I support my clients.

We are dedicated to transactional excellence for every listing and sale. What this means for you is that we oversee every detail of the real estate transaction. The transaction is far from over once an offer has been accepted. We monitor inspections, appraisals, title, escrow and loan processes. Communication and collaboration with all the partners and parties involved with the transaction ensures a smooth and timely closing. We are committed to our clients before, during and after a sale.
Passion for Community, Nature, & Service
Giving back is an important part of my life. As a Master Gardener since 2008, I volunteer at the Maple Valley Farmer’s Market and Lake Wilderness Arboretum. I also coordinate Make A Difference Day for the City of Maple Valley, supervise the student-run barista stand at Tahoma High School, and participate in our office’s Adopt-A-Road and Ronald McDonald House programs.
Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible outdoors—running, cycling, paddleboarding, gardening, and enjoying nature with our dog, Mango.

Maple Valley has consistently been recognized as one of the country’s safest cities, but the natural beauty of this area and the community spirit are what really make us stand out. And that’s why we’re one of Washington State’s fastest growing cities. Education is important to many Maple Valley residents. The city is served by the Tahoma School district, which is well respected throughout Washington State and the U.S. Tahoma High School rates among the top 5% nationwide. This coveted school district helps keep Maple Valley property values elevated, which benefits even residents who don’t have students in their households. Community events in Maple Valley include a fishing derby each April, Make a Difference day where neighbors help neighbors each October, and a holiday tree lighting each December. Maple Valley Days, held the second weekend of June every year features a parade, classic car show, rides, a fun run and live entertainment. Housing in Maple Valley comes in all forms, from townhomes and condos to farmhouses surrounded by horses or alpacas, and every variety in between.
